Infants

It is our mission to provide the highest quality care and education to every individual student, ages 12 months to 18 months. Our goal is to create a caring, warm, and safe environment focused on developmentally appropriate activities and open-ended play, all while working as team with parents to create a daily schedule for their needs.

We strive to work alongside parents with their goals and expertise for their child. Communication is constant and a large factor in success. Along with parents, our teachers, aids, and the director all work closely together in creating safety and security for each child.

We provide secure, open and designated areas for sleeping, eating, changing diapers and playing. We regularly rotate toys to focus on developmental stages and needs. During our day it is very important that not only are each child’s basic needs met but that their emotional, social, and language development are supported. We value one on one interactions between the teachers with each child. We love to read, play music, color, use sensory play, and utilize some sign language to communicate. Throughout the year we base play on our Zoo phonics sound and signal weekly curriculum with the additional holidays also incorporated. In the spring and summer months we engage in some outside play for fresh air and more physical space to climb. Allowing the child to explore and experience that play is important to us for their development.
